President of China Xi Jinping visited Airport City and Manchester Airport as the closing event in his UK state visit – generating over 5,000 pieces of international media coverage. Along with Prime Minister David Cameron, President Xi launched the £130million ‘China Cluster’ at Airport City and direct route from Manchester to Beijing with Hainan Airlines.
